This site is a personal portfolio. It collects the minimum data necessary to function. No data is sold, shared with third parties for advertising, or used to build profiles.
What I Collect
Page views. A counter increments when you visit a page. No IP address, browser fingerprint, or session data is attached to that counter.
Analytics events. Aggregated, anonymised interaction data (page visits, navigation clicks) via Vercel Analytics and PostHog. Neither service stores personally identifiable information at my configuration level.
Contact form / newsletter. If you submit the contact form or subscribe to the newsletter, your email address and any message content you provide are stored to send a reply or deliver future posts.
Nothing else. No passwords, no payment details, no location data.
How It's Used
Page view counts are displayed publicly on blog posts as a reader-interest signal only.
Analytics are used to understand which content is useful and to diagnose errors - never to serve ads or track individuals.
Email addresses collected via the newsletter are used solely to send that newsletter. You can unsubscribe in one click from any email.
Where It's Stored
Upstash Redis (upstash.com) - stores the page view counters as simple integer keys. No personal data is stored here.
Resend (resend.com) - email infrastructure used for newsletter delivery and contact replies. Email addresses and message content you submit are held on their servers subject to Resend's privacy policy.
Vercel (vercel.com) - hosts this site. Request logs and analytics are processed by Vercel per their privacy policy. Edge logs are retained for a limited period.
PostHog (posthog.com) - product analytics, configured in anonymised mode. See their privacy policy.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data I hold about you (i.e. your email address if you subscribed to the newsletter). Email me and I will action your request within 30 days.
You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link in any email. This removes your address from all future sends.
